JOB TITLE: Energy Storage Engineer

LOCATION: Juno Beach, FL (preferred) — Remote considered for strong candidates willing to travel periodically for on-site visits

SCHEDULE: Standard Office Hours

DURATION: 12-Month Contract

PAY:$53 - $59/hour


Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the planning, design, and execution of large-scale energy storage projects. You will combine technical engineering knowledge with strong project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, efficient, and safe energy storage solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the design and engineering of major components for large-scale battery storage systems.
  • Reviewing and improving engineering drawings and studies to enhance design quality and accuracy.
  • Preparing technical scopes of work and coordinating with cross-functional project teams.
  • Managing project milestones, identifying risks, and supporting project delivery from concept to completion.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to integrate major equipment and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Understanding and addressing permitting requirements and design challenges.
  • Traveling up to 25% for project-specific duties.

  • Strong technical understanding of energy storage systems and renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in Solar/PV or Energy Storage engineering or construction.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following:

    – Power electronics

    – Battery storage system design

    – Substation or generation tie design
  • Familiarity with battery safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NEC, NFPA 70E).

    Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730.
