Energy Storage Engineer

PAY:$53 - $59/hour
Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the planning, design, and execution of large-scale energy storage projects. You will combine technical engineering knowledge with strong project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, efficient, and safe energy storage solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the design and engineering of major components for large-scale battery storage systems.
- Reviewing and improving engineering drawings and studies to enhance design quality and accuracy.
- Preparing technical scopes of work and coordinating with cross-functional project teams.
- Managing project milestones, identifying risks, and supporting project delivery from concept to completion.
- Collaborating with suppliers to integrate major equipment and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Understanding and addressing permitting requirements and design challenges.
- Traveling up to 25% for project-specific duties.

- Strong technical understanding of energy storage systems and renewable energy projects.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Solar/PV or Energy Storage engineering or construction.
- Expertise in one or more of the following:
– Power electronics
– Battery storage system design
– Substation or generation tie design - Familiarity with battery safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NEC, NFPA 70E).
Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730.
