Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will plan, design, and execute various aspects of large-scale energy storage projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class solutions. You’ll blend technical expertise
with project management skills
to ensure efficient and high-quality project execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the design and engineering of major components for energy storage projects.
- Reviewing and improving engineering drawings, ensuring design quality and consistency.
- Identifying and resolving issues in engineering studies and recommending improvements.
- Preparing technical scopes of work and supporting contract documentation.
- Managing project milestones and identifying potential risks.
- Collaborating with suppliers to integrate major equipment and ensure design compliance.
- Coordinating with project managers from project initiation through completion.
- Understanding and addressing permitting requirements and proposing practical site solutions.
- Traveling up to 25% for project-specific duties.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of energy storage systems and renewable power infrastructure.
- Ability to recognize and resolve engineering design inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Solar/PV engineering and/or construction.
- Expertise in one or more of the following:
– Power electronics
– Battery storage system design
– Substation or generation tie design - Familiarity with battery safety standards: UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC.
- Knowledge of IEC 61215, 61646, and 61730
standards preferred.
