Pay Rate:$34.00 – $38.00/hr

Position Summary

Our client is a Southern California utility operating gas system assets, including pipeline and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) infrastructure. The Gas Distribution Maintenance Coordinator II supports the client's gas emergency response and gas compliance Maintenance & Inspection activities across the service territory, coordinating with Gas Technical Services (GTS) Supervision, Region Engineering (RE), Field Utilities Specialists, Construction Managers at C&O Centers, and Construction Services. The role adheres to mandated policies, procedures and internal company standards in support of emergency response and compliance activities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Act as primary coordinator for the GTS Inspection & Maintenance programme across the service territory, validating and updating critical maintenance and inspection work record data.
  • Create, monitor and manage work orders and maintenance notifications in SAP-PM through to completion, tracking required follow-up, scope changes, joint meet requirements and access issues.
  • Perform Pipeline and LNG emergency response functions, dispatching and assigning represented personnel via the CLICK system, including phone notification, cross-department coordination, and management of trouble orders in SAP-PM.
  • Interact daily with represented field personnel on order completion status, CLICK issues, technical system support and additional crew support (crew assistance, extra equipment, material ordering, etc.).
  • Respond to data requests from management and Compliance departments for internal and external audits, creating ad-hoc and standardised reports in HANA and SAP-PM to monitor compliance, notifications and work order status.
  • Act as liaison between internal and external departments, and support the supervisor with special project reporting and analysis.
  • Assist ARSO scheduling with compliance inspection and maintenance orders, maintain late lists, prearranged lists and vacation information, and ensure callout lists with qualifications are accurate.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance, inspection or compliance work for gas system assets in a utility environment.
  • Experience managing work orders and notifications in SAP-PM, and dispatching field personnel via CLICK or a similar system.
  • Experience supporting emergency response activities and working with represented field personnel.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency with SAP-PM, HANA and CLICK.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail: able to prioritise and validate maintenance and inspection records where missing or incorrect information creates compliance risk.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: able to analyse large volumes of operational and compliance data, identify discrepancies, understand regulatory requirements and make decisions affecting scheduling, dispatching and compliance performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: able to coordinate work, resolve issues and train personnel across field crews, engineering, supervisors, compliance teams, dispatchers, planners and external stakeholders.
