Gas Operations Coordination Specialist
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid – Monday through Thursday onsite, Friday remote)
Duration: 2-Year Contract
Schedule: Standard Office Hours
Pay Rate: Up to $38.55/hour
Hydrogen Group is partnering with a leading California utility to hire a Gas Operations Coordination Specialist. This position supports gas emergency response, maintenance coordination, inspection programs, and regulatory compliance activities across the utility's service territory.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate gas maintenance and inspection programs across the service territory.
- Create, monitor, update, and close work orders using SAP PM.
- Validate maintenance records and equipment data to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate emergency gas response activities and dispatch field personnel using the CLICK system.
- Monitor work order status, scheduling changes, field progress, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare compliance reports and operational metrics using SAP PM and HANA.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Field Operations, Compliance, and Dispatch teams.
- Assist with scheduling maintenance inspections and updating workforce availability.
- Analyze operational data and identify scheduling or compliance issues.
- Support special reporting projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Experience supporting utilities, maintenance coordination, operations, scheduling, or compliance activities.
- Experience using SAP PM or similar work management systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Project, and Visio.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities while working with cross-functional teams.
