Position Summary
Our Client is a leading organization in the energy and utilities sector, committed to delivering innovative infrastructure solutions across the United States. Analysts are tasked with supporting GIS efforts for specific active/planned projects and supporting business goals and initiatives. The role of an Analyst is to accurately translate business requirements into technical deliverables using the Geospatial Platform and ESRI products. Responsibilities include web application development, complex mapping, transmission routing, and data management tasks.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Support assigned projects working with developers
- Maintain project-related web applications, project data, and project folders
- Support routing efforts on projects by performing routing studies
- Field Maps set-up as needed
- Provide approved data schemas and set up Collaboration locations in AGOL
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Environmental Science, Civil/Electrical Engineering, Urban Planning, or Data Science)
- 2-3 years of experience working with GIS data and mapping, preferably in the energy or utilities industry
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools
- Understanding of GIS systems and technologies
- Experience working with ESRI products is a significant advantage
