Pay Range:$55–$62/hr
Technical Skills
Must Have
- Experience creating and managing development work items in ADO, TFS, or other backlog management tools
- Ability to develop business design documents
- Proven experience gathering/documenting business requirements, conducting UAT, and leading training sessions
Nice to Have
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or SAFe)
- Proficiency managing application backlogs using ADO, TFS, or Jira
Job Description
The IT Business Analyst II will work closely with internal business groups to support application development and continuous improvement initiatives. This role focuses on gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, translating them into technical deliverables, and partnering with development and QA teams to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and comfort working in an Agile setting.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, document, and validate business requirements
- Develop business design documents based on gathered requirements
- Create user stories to clearly communicate requirements to development and QA teams
- Support dev/QA teams in translating business needs into technical design and testing strategies
- Ensure collaboration throughout design, development, and testing phases to confirm deliverables align with business goals
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and organize training sessions prior to releases
- Work with fellow Business Analysts to support product roadmap and release planning
Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT Business Analyst experience supporting business and development teams
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with application backlog tools such as ADO, TFS, or Jira
- Experience working in Agile environments: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar
- Preferred Certifications:
- PMI-PBA
- IIBA CBAP
