Maintenance Technician

Duration: 18-month contact

Schedule: 1st Shift – 05:30 AM to 02:00 PM

Pay:$32-37/ph




In this role, you will perform work involving multiple maintenance disciplines to ensure the optimal operation and repair of machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility infrastructure.




Job Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance to keep equipment and building systems functioning efficiently.
  • Repairing or replacing defective parts using hand and power tools; reassembling machinery as needed.
  • Conducting inspections of drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, and filters, using provided checklists.
  • Utilizing a variety of tools ranging from basic hand tools (e.g., hammers, wrenches) to precision instruments and testing devices.
  • Assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, and other machinery or equipment.
  • Diagnosing malfunctions through inspection, testing, and operation of equipment.
  • Cleaning and lubricating parts such as shafts, gears, and bearings.
  • Recording the type and cost of maintenance or repair work performed.
  • Dismantling devices with the use of hoists, cranes, and tools to access and replace defective components.



Essential Duties and Job Functions:

  • Execute repairs and scheduled maintenance following safety and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of performed maintenance.
  • Support cross-functional team efforts to improve equipment reliability and facility conditions.
  • Operate within defined protocols to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.



Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and repair methods.
  • Familiarity with production processes, quality control techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and applied technology.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5–7 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
