Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will support the accurate and timely movement of materials within a shipping warehouse environment. You will be responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, processing material transactions, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This position is critical to supporting global operations in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Perform outbound shipping tasks including picking, packing, labeling, and shipping finished goods, consumables, and instruments.
- Prepare domestic and international shipments in compliance with DOT, IATA, and internal shipping requirements.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts while following safety guidelines.
- Accurately process material transactions using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and shipping software (FedEx, UPS, DHL).
- Maintain shipping records and documentation in accordance with ISO, FDA, and cGMP standards.
- Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and manufacturing teams to meet shipping timelines and resolve issues.
- Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with 6S and EHS requirements.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Coordinate shipping workflows to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Verify shipping documentation for domestic and international compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to material transactions or shipping delays.
- Support regulated industry requirements by following established protocols.
- Participate in audits, reporting, and warehouse process improvements.
- Safely operate material handling equipment and adhere to all safety standards.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of ERP and warehouse management systems.
- Familiarity with international shipping documentation and customs requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active role.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or relevant coursework preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics operations.
- Experience in regulated industries (biotech, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals) preferred.
- Previous experience with cold chain shipping is a plus.
