Job Description
Summary:
The Material Coordinator is responsible for performing inventory management and warehouse transfer functions under general supervision. This role ensures all materials are processed accurately and efficiently in compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inventory control functions, including cycle counts, stock movements, and transaction processing.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, inventory levels, and warehouse transfers within the ERP system.
- Conduct incoming inspections and verify product specifications in accordance with GMP and internal procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials availability and inventory accuracy.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in materials or inventory control, preferably in a scientific or chemistry-based manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with GMP standards, inspection procedures, and inventory documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Forklift certification or prior experience operating powered industrial trucks preferred.
