We're currently working with an ASX top 50 organisation who are looking for an Senior Mobile Automation Test Engineer to join their Sydney office on an initial 6-month contract.
The Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of digital products and platforms. Working closely with developers, business analysts, and delivery teams, you will design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions that support agile delivery model and member-first mindset.
You will be responsible for embedding quality practices early in the development lifecycle and driving test automation as a core capability across the technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mobile automation framework from scratch for iOS & Android
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable releases
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with delivery teams to resolve issues
- Promote best practices in test automation, test data management, and environment stability
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing tools, frameworks, and processes
- Ensure testing aligns with regulatory, security, and compliance requirements relevant to superannuation and financial services
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Automation Engineer Experience setting up / designing mobile automation frameworks from scratch
- Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Appium & WebdriverIO
- Experience setting up CI/CD with tools such as Jenkins or similar
- Any exp with Browserstack, Auth & APIs beneficial
- Experience testing APIs using tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or equivalent beneficial
- Knowledge of AWS environments
