We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Estimator II
to join a growing project estimating team. This role is responsible for preparing and managing accurate cost estimates for a variety of infrastructure and energy projects, ensuring estimates are feasible, competitive, and aligned with project objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career estimator to develop technical expertise and gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed conceptual, preliminary, and definitive cost estimates for new and existing projects.
- Develop conceptual engineering designs and preliminary construction plans to support scope quantification.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to review project specifications, drawings, and supporting documentation.
- Perform value engineering analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements.
- Develop and maintain estimating tools, databases, pricing models, and methodologies to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop project contingencies to address potential uncertainties.
- Present cost estimates and value engineering recommendations to project stakeholders and leadership.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Monitor project costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle, updating estimates as project scope, design, or market conditions change.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support estimating efforts across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and energy projects, including renewable energy, utilities, telecommunications, water, and industrial facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior team members.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow within the field of project estimating.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or practical experience in construction management, engineering, estimating, or a related field.
- Experience with cost estimating software such as PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with project management software, including Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a standard office environment.
- Occasional travel to project sites for meetings, inspections, and collaboration with field teams.

- Primarily office-based with periodic visits to project sites.
- Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
