Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will assist in the management of construction and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, schedule, and safety requirements. You will support and monitor construction activities by third-party vendors and contractors in both office and field environments.
- Evaluate productivity, scheduling adherence, quality of work, and safety performance.
- Participate in project walkdowns, verify compliance with design standards, and review contractor invoices.
- Ensure constructability, proper allocation of resources, and resolve project-related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, regulatory bodies, local officials, and internal teams.
- Support project control tasks including budgeting, technical issue resolution, scheduling, and performance reporting.
- Interface with landowners, local authorities, and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Promote safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and accountability for contractor and internal staff.
- Collaborate with departments such as safety, engineering, construction, budgeting, analytics, and contract administration.
- Serve as liaison to the project’s designated management committee.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Apply electrical engineering knowledge to support project delivery in compliance with NERC and NOGRR standards.
- Conduct field-based oversight and execution of regulatory compliance tasks.
- Interpret and implement NERC standards such as PRC-019, -24, -28, -29.
- Support compliance with NOGRR requirements including -245 and -255.
- Oversee commissioning and design review for wind converter and solar inverter systems.
- Provide technical field experience in executing project requirements.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems for renewable energy infrastructure.
- Understanding of NERC and NOGRR compliance standards.
- Experience in field execution and commissioning of inverter/substation equipment.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across multiple disciplines.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and construction best practices.
- Comfortable with extensive travel and field conditions.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience with NERC/NOGRR compliance and renewable energy infrastructure.
- Field execution experience required (approximately 50% travel expected).
