Project Management Consultant

📍 Location: Juno Beach, FL (Office-based with limited travel)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

💰 Pay Range:$40–$45/hour



Role Overview

This role supports the successful transition of capital projects from development through construction readiness. The consultant will lead capital expenditure budgeting, risk identification and mitigation, and preconstruction coordination to ensure projects are positioned for on-time, on-budget execution.

You’ll manage survey contractor procurement and execution, oversee preconstruction schedules, and collaborate closely with development, engineering, permitting, and construction teams. Strong financial acumen, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising scope are critical to success in this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess productivity, schedule adherence, work quality, and safety performance across assigned projects.
  • Participate in work walkdowns; validate completed work against design requirements; review contractor payment requests.
  • Verify constructability, confirm appropriate resource allocation, assess field status, and resolve issues as needed.
  • Coordinate project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, local officials, and internal teams.
  • Support scope control, budget oversight, technical issue resolution, performance reporting, scheduling, and work-in-progress tracking.
  • Interface with landowners, local municipalities, and state regulatory agencies.
  • Reinforce expectations related to safety, procedural compliance, lessons learned, corrective actions, and appropriate work behaviors.
  • Coordinate across functions including safety, engineering, construction, budgeting, analytics, and contract administration.
  • Interface with the project’s designated management committee.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field required
  • PMP certification preferred

Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience managing project execution, including vendor and contractor coordination
  • Experience in construction and/or renewables strongly preferred

Skills & Tools

  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams

Other

  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed (up to 25%)
