Duration: 12-month contract

Pay Rate:$40-45/hr (W2)



Our client is the largest renewable construction company in the world, specializing in solar energy development and infrastructure. They are seeking a Project Management Consultant II to support the Early-Stage Solar Engineering & Construction team.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Take primary ownership of assigned Solar projects while working collaboratively with the Regional Lead Project Manager to actively manage projects through Early-Stage processes including Screening, Diligencing, and Early-Stage Pipeline in preparation for turnover to Late-Stage Project Management
  • Manage daily operations of each assigned Solar project comprehensively, ensuring delivery of technically feasible, schedule appropriate, commercially supported, and financially viable projects
  • Analyze technical and financial data, extrapolate notable variables, indicators, and trends as related to assigned Solar projects
  • Create, take ownership of, and actively manage assigned Solar project capital budgets
  • Serve as development and permitting support by coordinating with and leveraging subject matter experts
  • Facilitate Engineering activities and actively engage in problem resolution
  • Support capital budget activities through approvals and work to develop viable construction plans and schedules
  • Support negotiations and execution of commercial contracts and investigate optimization opportunities
  • Engage in a variety of software applications to support project activities and manage critical data and deliverables
  • Communicate and interface with Executive Leadership with support of Regional Lead
  • Perform any and all other daily tasks required by Regional Lead to maintain overall group organization, data deliverables, team readiness, and individual project viability

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required
  • Construction, Energy Industry, and/or Solar experience is a plus

Knowledge and Skills

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude and strong interest in career growth on the Project Management path
  • Inherent ability to manage fast-paced, high-stress environments
  • Capable of working independently with limited direction
  • Proficiency in software applications for project management and data analysis
