About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Battery Energy Storage (BESS) to support the development and pre-construction delivery of large-scale battery energy storage projects.
This position sits within an Engineering & Construction (E&C) organisation and plays a critical role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams across project development, engineering, estimating, procurement, scheduling and construction planning.
The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects at varying stages of development, ensuring technical, commercial and regulatory requirements are aligned before projects transition into construction.
This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional with experience in renewable energy, utility-scale infrastructure or engineering and construction who enjoys working across the full early-stage project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate multiple Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects through development and pre-construction.
-
Coordinate internal and external project resources to ensure critical milestones and schedules are achieved.
-
Work closely with Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling and Construction teams.
-
Develop project scopes, identify critical deliverables and support the preparation of executable construction plans.
-
Coordinate environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, cultural and interconnection requirements.
-
Support development teams with jurisdictional approvals and permitting considerations.
-
Assist with Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Generator Interconnection Agreement (GIA) negotiations.
Engineering & Pre-Construction
