Our client is a leading global biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of innovative therapies. They are seeking a Research Associate to support their BioDesign, Biotherapeutics Discovery and Delivery team, contributing to tissue enhanced delivery platform development and portfolio programs in an onsite laboratory setting.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Support tissue enhanced delivery platform development and portfolio programs
- Process animal tissues for protein analysis and nucleic acid extraction
- Perform MSD and PCR-based methods for bioanalytical analyses
- Perform cell-based function assays to characterize biotherapeutics
- Establish SOPs and adapt new protocols from literature
- Maintain electronic laboratory notebook
Education and Experience
- BS in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry or post-bachelor's research
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques (qPCR/ddPCR, Western blot, ELISA, etc.)
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to independently execute experiments and analyze data
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to productively collaborate in cross-functional and matrixed teams
- Previous experience with animal tissue processing (preferred)
- Previous experience with ELISA or MSD assays (preferred)
- Previous experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays (preferred)
