Position Overview
A biotechnology research team focused on advanced therapeutic development is seeking a temporary Scientist to support ongoing drug development initiatives. This role is suited for individuals who are analytical, adaptable, and motivated to learn new laboratory techniques. The position requires the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment while contributing technical expertise to analytical method development. This is a full-time contract assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement targeted protein-based analytical methods to support characterization of therapeutic products
  • Operate and maintain liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) systems for quantitative analysis, including method optimization, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Interpret and evaluate quantitative proteomics data using specialized data analysis platforms and computational tools
  • Review scientific publications and technical resources to identify and apply new methodologies and process improvements

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.S., or B.S.) in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or a related scientific discipline, with relevant industry experience proportional to degree level
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to meet technical and project objectives
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with electronic laboratory documentation systems
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organization, and accurate record management

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to protein purification and analytical characterization techniques
  • Familiarity with additional protein analysis or omics-based platforms, such as immunoassays, protein detection methods, or broad-spectrum proteomic workflows
