Position Summary
Our client, a leading organisation in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the Bill Compare workstream within an XD CIS to SAP system migration programme. In this role, you will facilitate agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and ensure the team maintains focus on delivering accurate, high-quality bill comparison outcomes across legacy and new billing environments. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and QA resources to coordinate testing cycles, track defects, and drive sprint-level progress toward key migration milestones. Experience working in complex, multi-workstream programme environments is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews
- Identify and remove impediments that block team progress toward sprint goals and migration milestones
- Coordinate testing cycles across legacy and new SAP billing environments in partnership with QA resources
- Track and manage defect resolution, ensuring timely escalation and closure
- Drive sprint-level progress and maintain team focus on delivering accurate bill comparison outcomes
- Serve as a collaborative bridge between the Bill Compare team and cross-functional programme partners
- Ensure transparency and alignment across stakeholders, including business leads and technical teams
- Support timely resolution of issues and risks within the workstream
- Maintain agile artefacts including backlogs, burn-down charts, and sprint reports
Education & Experience
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in complex, multi-workstream programme environments
- Background in system migration projects, preferably CIS or ERP implementations
- Familiarity with billing systems, data validation, or utility industry processes
- Experience coordinating between business stakeholders, technical teams, and QA functions
- Relevant agile certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and their practical application in enterprise programmes
- Ability to facilitate productive agile ceremonies and drive team accountability
- Familiarity with SAP billing or CIS platforms advantageous
- Experience with defect tracking and test cycle coordination in migration contexts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively across multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with agile tooling (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
