Senior Communications Manager

12 Month Contract – Daily Rate

Organisation

· A large global technology organisation is seeking an experienced communications leader to join its APAC Communications team.

· This role will support both internal and external communications across Australia and New Zealand and will report to the APAC Head of Communications



Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute a comprehensive ANZ employee communications strategy, delivering regular updates that keep employees connected to the organisation’s strategy and vision across the region. This includes leading content across internal channels such as collaboration platforms, regional town halls, digital signage and email communications.

· Act as a trusted communications advisor to the regional executive leadership team, providing strategic guidance and messaging support.

· Partner with cross-functional teams including HR, Sales Strategy, and senior business leaders to understand upcoming initiatives or organisational changes, developing integrated communication plans and supporting materials such as key messaging, FAQs, talking points and presentation content.

· Align regional and global communications programs, ensuring messaging is timely, consistent and impactful.

· Support the external communications strategy across ANZ, helping strengthen brand reputation and market awareness across the region.

· Maintain strong relationships with business and technology media across Australia and New Zealand.

· Lead executive communications programs, crafting authentic narratives for senior leadership.

· Drive positive media engagement and coverage aligned with the organisation’s technology and innovation strategy.

· Use a data-driven approach to evaluate communications effectiveness, incorporating employee feedback and tracking results to continuously improve programs.



Experience

· Extensive experience (10+ years) in communications roles, with exposure to both internal communications and media relations.

· Experience in a global tech organisation.

· Established relationships with internal business and external technology media.

· Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders.

· Demonstrated ability to operate in matrix organisations, bringing multiple stakeholders together to deliver communication strategies.

· Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

· Collaborative, proactive and results-focused approach with a willingness to contribute across the team.

· Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
