Senior Marketing Project Manager

San Diego, CA / Hybrid

Schedule: Standard Office Hours

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Pay Rate Range:$39.00 – $48.75/hour

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage and support a variety of brand and creative projects within a corporate marketing team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading cross-functional marketing projects, including inbound and outbound campaigns.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and creative teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Strategizing and building project plans that enhance project management and operations.
  • Managing project teams and external agency partners for optimal return-on-investment.
  • Identifying key requirements from cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Developing and managing budgets while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Assessing risks, identifying opportunities, and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Streamlining workflows and identifying process inefficiencies for continuous improvement.
  • Preparing and presenting clear progress and activity reports to stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Job Functions

  • Collaborate across corporate marketing teams to drive project execution.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Maintain accountability for the success of multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Foster effective communication and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Monitor and track progress, proactively resolving challenges as they arise.

Knowledge & Skills

Must Have:

  • Budget management experience.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Workfront experience a plus).
  • Strong skills in project planning and resource management.
  • Risk analysis and mitigation expertise.
  • Solutions-oriented with strong stakeholder and vendor management.

Nice to Have:

  • PMP certification.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of marketing experience, including digital and cross-channel campaigns.
  • Experience working in an agency, consultancy, or in-house studio environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure and process to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and creative campaign management.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving, innovation, and execution excellence.
