Senior Plant Engineer – RNG / Gas Systems (Operations & Reliability)
Location: Juno Beach, FL (40% Travel)
Contract: 8 Months
Rate: $48–$52/hr
We’re supporting a leading renewable energy company in hiring a Senior Engineer to work across a growing portfolio of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and landfill gas facilities.
This is a hands-on, operations-focused role, ideal for someone with strong plant experience who enjoys troubleshooting, improving reliability, and supporting sites from commissioning into full operations.
What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting plant operations across multiple RNG / gas facilities
• Troubleshooting equipment and system issues (compressors, gas systems, flares)
• Improving plant reliability, uptime, and performance
• Supporting maintenance programs and CMMS (Maximo preferred)
• Assisting with commissioning, startup, and operational readiness
• Working closely with site teams, vendors, and project managers
What we’re looking for:
• 5+ years in plant engineering, operations, or maintenance
• Experience in gas processing, power generation, biogas, or similar
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on plant experience
• Exposure to maintenance/reliability programs and CMMS systems
• Experience with commissioning/startup is highly beneficial
• Comfortable with travel (~40%)
Nice to have:
• RNG / landfill gas experience
• Compressors, gas treatment, or flare systems
• Continuous improvement / Six Sigma
