Senior Quality Control Technician
St. Paul, MN | ~$30/hour DOE + Overtime | Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role
A growing medical device design and manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Quality Control Technician to join its St. Paul team. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting the quality of sterile and non-sterile medical devices, with a mix of inspection, laboratory testing, documentation, and quality systems responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- Perform incoming, in-process, final, and finished product inspections
- Review manufacturing records, test results, certifications, labeling, and quality documentation
- Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, comparators, and microscopes
- Conduct laboratory testing including UV-Vis, FTIR, and basic wet chemistry
- Prepare samples and sterilization documentation and analyze sterilization and BI results
- Support environmental monitoring activities
- Identify, document, segregate, and quarantine nonconforming materials
- Support NCMR/MRB investigations and disposition activities
- Support equipment calibration and preventive maintenance
- Assist with quality procedures and work instructions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of quality control/inspection experience in medical device manufacturing
- Associate's degree or higher in a STEM field
- Experience interpreting blueprints, technical specifications, and procedures
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry
- Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement equipment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred: Technical degree, knowledge of ISO 13485/FDA quality systems, and experience with sterilization, microbiology, chemistry, or good laboratory practices.
