We’re looking for a Solution Architect with strong experience in AWS, Spring Boot, and product-led delivery environments, who can work closely with engineering, product, and enterprise architecture teams to define and drive solution design.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Understands how to turn enterprise architectural direction into practical delivery
- Can design solutions in a modern integration-led environment
- Has operated in a genuinely product-led organisation, not just traditional Agile delivery

You’ll be responsible for designing and shaping architecture at a sub-enterprise / domain level, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to both technical and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own solution architecture across key workstreams within a broader transformation programme
- Translate enterprise architecture principles into practical, tactical designs for delivery teams
- Design scalable and resilient solutions across AWS, Spring Boot, and containerised environments
- Shape and document integration patterns between internal platforms and SaaS / third-party services
- Work closely with engineering teams, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment
- Support delivery teams in implementing solutions that balance business outcomes, technical quality, and speed
- Provide architectural guidance across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation
- Help ensure solutions are fit for purpose within a regulated / complex environment
- Contribute to architecture decisions in a product-led delivery model, where continuous learning, iteration, and customer outcomes influence solution design
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect within complex technology environments
- Strong experience designing solutions on AWS
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and modern application design
- Experience working with Spring Boot / JVM-based backend ecosystems
- Experience in containerised environments (e.g. Docker / Kubernetes / similar)
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and service-based architectures
- Experience taking direction from Enterprise Architects and translating it into deliverable solution architecture
- Demonstrable experience working in a product-led delivery environment
- Strong understanding of product thinking, including how architecture supports product outcomes, evolving user needs, and iterative delivery
- Ability to work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders in a delivery model that goes beyond traditional Agile ceremonies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-expectation environments
Highly Desirable
- Experience within Financial Services or other regulated industries
- Experience working across platform modernisation or digital transformation programmes
