Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Draper, UT

Schedule: Standard Business Hours

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Max Pay Rate:$47.00 - $52.00/hr


Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer applies engineering theory and principles to improve industrial layouts and manufacturing production processes. This role involves analyzing workflows, interpreting technical documentation, and driving efficiency and quality improvements across operations. A successful candidate can create engineering drawings and accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze time, motion, methods, and production speeds to establish standard production rates and improve operational efficiency.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas; collaborate with management and engineering teams to define quality and reliability standards.
  • Review worker logs, processing sheets, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements.
  • Support planning of work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
  • Develop charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
  • Observe equipment usage to confirm proper operation and maintenance in accordance with quality standards.
  • Conduct time and fatigue studies using appropriate timing devices.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to validate adherence to standards or identify deviations.

Required Skills

  • Detail-oriented team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in creating sketches, engineering drawings, and performing standard engineering computations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Experience using engineering-related software applications, including Computer-Aided Design (CAD).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • 5–7 years of relevant manufacturing or industrial engineering experience required.
