Sr. Associate Scientist / Associate Scientist – Immuno-Oncology

Initial 1 year contract with possible extension/conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will include hands-on vivo and in vitro work supporting an Immuno-Oncology lab
  • The preferred candidate will have significant experience with performing in vivo mouse studies including syngeneic tumor models and adoptive cell transfer models
  • Capable of performing multiple different injection routes and knowledge of mouse anatomy for tissue collection
  • Strong experience with performing in vitro experiments, such as mammalian cell culture, human and mouse primary cell culture, ELISA, multi-color flow, etc
  • Capable of independently performing experiments based on provided protocols and generating and summarizing data
  • Collaborate with teammates to refine protocols and troubleshoot issues as they occur

Qualifications

  • BS (+4 years of experience) or MS degree, in immunology, molecular biology, oncology or related field
  • Experience with standard mouse syngeneic tumor models
  • Prior experience running in vitro experiments, such as mammalian cell culture, multi-color flow (Fortessa and/or Cytek), and primary human and mouse cell assay
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Willingness to learn new approaches and techniques
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Flexible, able to respond quickly to shifting priorities and able to multitask
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with standard laboratory molecular biology software packages, in vivo gene delivery, and simple 'Omics software packages
    • Knowledge of cancer biology
