A leading electric vehicle manufacturer is seeking a Sustaining Reliability Engineering Technician
to support ongoing testing and reliability initiatives at its state-of-the-art facility in Normal, IL. This opportunity is offered on an initial 3-month contracting basis, with potential for extension/conversion to FTE. As a w2 contract worker you are eligible to a benefits package including health/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401k vehicle and more.
Hourly rate:$55-60/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with test engineers to install, configure, and maintain complex powertrain test equipment
- Execute tests efficiently, minimizing equipment downtime
- Troubleshoot failures and clearly communicate findings to engineers
- Disassemble and reassemble prototype and production hardware
- Perform routine maintenance and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment
- Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), and train others on proper execution
- Prioritize tasks and meet scheduled deadlines while tests are ongoing
- Attend daily stand-up and team meetings
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting testing environments, particularly within automotive or powertrain systems
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach to lab and task management
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technical setting
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check
