About the Role
We are seeking a Systems Accountant with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience to support, optimize, and enhance our financial systems. This role sits at the intersection of finance and technology, ensuring that accounting processes are efficient, well-controlled, and fully aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the finance systems lead for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance / Business Central / F&O, as applicable)
- Configure, maintain, and optimize D365 financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, etc.)
- Partner with Finance, IT, and external vendors on system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations
- Translate accounting and business requirements into system solutions and process improvements
- Support month-end and year-end close from a systems and controls perspective
- Design and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and data extracts
- Manage system controls, user access, and audit requirements
- Lead or support testing (UAT), documentation, and change management for system updates
- Provide training and ongoing support to finance users
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience working with system implementations, upgrades, or major enhancements
- Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Experience with Power BI, Power Platform, or other reporting tools
- Experience in ERP integrations and data management
- Prior involvement in D365 implementation projects
