Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead and manage transmission line design for renewable generation interconnections and stand-alone transmission projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple transmission line engineering projects, including:
o Wind generation tie lines
o Solar generation tie lines
o Battery Energy Storage interconnections
o Stand-alone high-voltage transmission line projects - Leading transmission line design from conceptual development through construction and commissioning
- Managing external engineering consultants responsible for line design deliverables
- Supporting project development teams during early-stage scope definition and project requirements
- Coordinating engineering deliverables required for competitive transmission proposals and active projects
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Manage transmission line project design through all project phases: early stage, engineering, construction, and commissioning
- Develop scopes of work for engineering consultants and secure approved suppliers through procurement processes
- Evaluate bids and support consultant selection in partnership with supply chain teams
- Coordinate route development activities and support permitting requirements
- Secure and manage technical inputs including geotechnical investigations, survey data, and lidar data
- Support sourcing and contracting of geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services
- Coordinate engineering deliverables including:
o Issued for Bid packages
o Issued for Procurement packages
o Issued for Construction packages
o As-built drawings - Support proposal development and technical contributions for RFP submissions
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across engineering, estimating, and project teams
- Present project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to management
- Represent Engineering & Construction interests internally and externally
Knowledge & Skills:

Technical Competencies:
- Transmission line engineering and construction expertise
- Project engineering / project management experience preferred
- Proficiency with:
o PLS-CADD
o AutoCAD
o Microsoft Project
o Primavera P6
o Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 7 years direct experience in high-voltage transmission line development, design, engineering, and construction
- 15+ years overall experience strongly aligned with lead-level expectation
- Renewable energy transmission project experience preferred
- Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience preferred
- PMP certification is a plus
- P.E. license in related discipline is a plus
