Vehicle Operations Specialist

Fife, WA (Onsite)

Duration: 3 months

Pay:$20-25/hr




We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Vehicle Lot Operations Specialist to ensure that our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and readiness. This role involves vehicle cleaning, inspections, logistics, and coordination across the service and delivery teams.




Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicles meet quality standards by washing exteriors and cleaning/preparing interiors.
  • Shuttle vehicles between locations, including customer, fleet, and secondary facilities.
  • Facilitate the pre-delivery inspection process, including cosmetic assessments, test drives, and use of tools such as compressed air equipment and torque wrenches.
  • Utilize computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and internal business platforms, to track and manage vehicles.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and communicate any defects to the service department.
  • Maintain vehicles in delivery-ready condition at all times.
  • Manage lot inventory, ensuring safe and accessible drive lanes.
  • Prepare, inspect, and stage customer trade-ins for transportation to auction via carriers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in operations, logistics, or lot management; prior automotive, electric vehicle (EV), or detailing experience is highly valued.
  • Experience in service writing or creating work orders is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Flexible availability to support customers, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in varying conditions, including active service centers and unpredictable weather.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as sitting for extended periods, standing up to 8+ hours, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, and pushing/pulling vehicles.
  • Frequent use of hands for tool operation, data entry, and communication.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents including safety regulations, operating instructions, and schematics.
