Job Description
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality standards by washing vehicle exteriors and cleaning/preparing interiors.
- Shuttle vehicles to and from secondary locations, including customer and fleet vehicles.
- Facilitate vehicles through the pre-delivery inspection process, including:
- Cosmetic inspection
- Dynamic test drives and vehicle assessments
- Use of compressed air tools and torque wrenches
- Use computers and software (Microsoft Office and internal systems) proficiently.
- Conduct quality control checks for delivery-ready vehicles and report defects to the service department.
- Maintain vehicle delivery readiness.
- Manage the inventory lot, ensuring safe and clear drive lanes.
- Prepare, inspect, and stage customer trade-ins for transport to auction.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the leadership team.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or lot management (automotive, EV, or detailing experience preferred).
- Experience in service writing or work order systems preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license from the state or province of residence (or commuting location).
- Clean driving record:
- No drug/alcohol-related driving incidents in the last 3 years.
- No more than one serious moving violation in the last 3 years.
- No license suspensions or revocations in the past 3–5 years.
- Subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring.
- Willingness to work holidays, evenings, and weekends as required.
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including active service centers and outdoor environments.
- Physical exertion required, including:
- Sitting for 2+ hours, standing up to 8+ hours, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent hand use for tool handling, data entry, writing, and communication.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, regulations, and maintenance documentation.
