Global Pharmaceutical Project

The challenge:

After a period of M&A activity and restructuring, our client, a well-known global Pharmaceutical company, had a backlog of over 100 vacancies and a pipeline of new projects pending. The company was not connecting with the full extent of the external market, plus their recruitment processes were out of sync with no internal scorecards, which was leading to their recruitment costs getting out of control.

Our solution:

We placed on of our experts at the client site full-time, in order to better understand their unique brand and business strategy, as well as segment and target workforce required.

Working closely with the leadership team, we developed better strategies to enable them to sell and attract the right talent, as well as market and enhance their brand position. We provided in-depth MI to ensure all commitments were being met.

Hydrogen delivered a talent management solution that resulted in 78 permanent and 56 contractor hires across 3 US states.

We filled positions including multiple level Clinical Research Associates, Data Managers, Clinical and Non-Clinical Project Managers, Regulatory Specialists, Technical Engineers and Manufacturing Specialists.

Having successfully completed the project in under 12 months (originally forecasted at 15 months), our client bought out 70% of the temporary workforce on a permanent basis to enhance future projects.

The outcome:

  • Through a partnered approach we grew local brand presence and market influence by over 40%
  • Staff retention rates dropped from 37% staff turnover to 12%
  • The leadership team improved their interview techniques and learned how to build teams, not just individuals
