Role Summary
The AI Engineer designs and delivers production-ready generative AI applications that solve real business problems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building, deploying, and scaling GenAI applications — not traditional data science or model training.
You’ll own projects end-to-end, from concept and architecture to deployment, working independently while collaborating with business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy generative AI applications for business use cases
- Convert business needs into scalable GenAI architectures
- Build full-stack applications and APIs
- Implement LLM solutions (RAG, prompt engineering, tool calling)
- Ensure enterprise-level reliability, security, and governance
- Apply DevOps best practices (CI/CD, monitoring, cloud deployment)
- Evaluate and prototype new GenAI tools
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Stay current on GenAI trends and tools
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field
- 3–5+ years in software or AI engineering
- Strong Python skills
- Experience shipping production software
- Full-stack development experience
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- DevOps experience (CI/CD, containers, automation)
- API design and integration experience
- Git/GitHub proficiency
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
- LLM application experience
- LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar
- Energy/utility sector experience
