Electronics Lab Technician

Standard Business Hours Pay Range:$30.50-$35.50/hour
Responsibilities
- Support the receiving and shipping of packages.
- Manage material inventories and kit parts for assembly and rework activities.
- Perform PCBA modifications including component rework, soldering/de-soldering of electronic components, and blue-wire modifications in accordance with IPC-610 Class 3 standards.
- Build wire harnesses per IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
- Build and set up custom test equipment based on engineering diagrams and specifications.
- Conduct functional testing of electronic circuit assemblies and engineering prototypes.
- Perform unit assembly of ECU modules following engineering diagrams and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and update procedures as required.
- Troubleshoot failures and identify root causes.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working as a technician in electronics or engineering laboratory environments.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience in the electric vehicle industry is a plus.
- Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent soldering and wire-harness assembly skills.
- Experience using laboratory test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and related tools.
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to solder fine-pitch ICs and 0402 components.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Familiarity with Jira is a plus.
- Python scripting experience is a plus.
- IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711/7721, or J-STD-001 certifications are preferred.
