Title: Engineer II

Pay: $35.00- $42.00/hour

Location: Draper, UT

Schedule: Standard Office Hours

Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract




In this role, you will apply engineering theory and principles to solve problems related to industrial layout and manufacturing production. This position works closely with engineering and production teams, using technical drawings, blueprints, and process data to support efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations.




Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the manufacturing engineering department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Studying time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and conferring with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
  • Reading worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications
  • Aiding in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays
  • Preparing charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization

  • Apply engineering principles to identify and resolve issues in industrial layout and manufacturing production
  • Create engineering drawings and interpret blueprints to support production and quality objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on quality and reliability standards

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with attention to detail
  • Ability to create sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
  • Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • 2-4 years of experience required
