Facilities Electrician III

Pay Rate:$33–$43/hr (W2)
Our client is a leading end-to-end space transportation company focused on enabling launch, landing, and operations in space for government and commercial customers. They are seeking an experienced Facilities Electrician III to support various construction and maintenance projects across multiple sites. This onsite role requires a strong electrical background and the ability to work independently across facilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the internal facilities department and contractors for cross-support
- Assist in various departments and perform necessary repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems
- Support and address plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry issues as needed
- Respond to urgent repair requests promptly
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
Education and Experience
- 5–10 years of experience with installation of new electrical fixtures including receptacles, light fixtures, conduit, low voltage and high voltage systems, breakers, and ballasts
- Experience with repair and replacement of wiring
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Experience diagnosing and addressing functionality and safety issues
- Experience installing indoor and outdoor electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
- Experience inspecting and testing electrical systems including fuses, transformers, and circuit breakers
- Working knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA standards
- Ability to run conduit and work independently

- Ability to operate and handle machinery (forklift, scissor lift, bulldozer, skid steer, etc.) and tools necessary for maintenance and repair
- Well-organized with ability to maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues
- Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, climb and carry ladders, and work with hand and power tools for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends/on-call as needed
- Proficiency with computer software and electronic systems (e.g., Jira, Smartsheets, iPads)
