We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Facilities HVAC Technician III
opportunity with a leading aerospace company focused on developing launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles to support missions from low Earth orbit to the Moon and beyond.
This is an opportunity to join a rocket production and test facility, supporting mission-critical HVAC, refrigeration, environmental control, and process cooling systems across a large industrial campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical expert for campus-wide HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot and repair complex commercial and industrial HVAC/refrigeration systems
- Maintain and optimize RTUs, split systems, chillers, exhaust, dehumidification, and environmental control systems
- Support clean rooms, labs, and temperature/humidity-controlled production environments
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
- Oversee third-party HVAC installations and retrofits
- Support compressed air, vacuum, and process cooling infrastructure
- Partner with electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance teams
- Maintain detailed records through CMMS/digital work-order systems
Requirements
- 10+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience
- Experience installing and commissioning RTUs, split systems, and ductwork
- Advanced troubleshooting experience with systems ranging from 5 to 100+ tons
- Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical schematics, controls, wiring, and refrigeration circuits
- Experience working in industrial or mission-critical environments
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Ability to work independently and interpret mechanical drawings/specifications
Experience within aerospace, manufacturing, laboratory, BAS, chilled water/hydronic systems, process cooling, dehumidification, compressed air, or vacuum systems is a plus.
