HR Business Partner

The Role

An opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a fast-paced organisation, partnering closely with leaders to deliver end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in driving people initiatives, ensuring compliance, and supporting a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to provide strategic and operational HR advice across the employee lifecycle
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes including workforce planning, job design, screening, interviewing, and offers
  • Lead onboarding and induction programs to ensure strong new starter experience and engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations matters, including performance and conduct issues
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development planning
  • Drive learning and development initiatives aligned to business needs and capability gaps
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, and internal policies, providing risk-based guidance to leaders
  • Analyse HR data and reporting (headcount, turnover, leave trends) to support workforce insights and decision-making
  • Oversee payroll and benefits processes, including leave management and remuneration reviews
  • Manage contractor governance including onboarding, classification, compliance checks (right to work, ABN, insurance), and lifecycle management
  • Oversee workers’ compensation and injury management processes, including claims, return-to-work planning, and insurer liaison
  • Ensure accurate HR documentation, including contracts, policies, and employee records
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects and broader people initiatives aligned to business priorities
  • Promote a strong safety culture and support WHS compliance and reporting

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience in a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using HRIS systems and HR reporting tools
  • Ability to manage complexity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
