Overview
Our Client is seeking a Junior IT Program Manager to support the coordination and visibility of a portfolio of IT projects across the organization. This role is ideal for an early-career program or project professional who excels at organization, communication, and building structured reporting to drive operational readiness.
You will work cross-functionally with project managers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and preparedness across multiple initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Coordination & Portfolio Oversight
- Support the management of a portfolio of IT projects led by project managers across various teams
- Track progress, risks, dependencies, and milestones across initiatives
- Ensure alignment between projects and broader program objectives
- Operational Readiness Planning
- Develop and maintain operational readiness plans at 180, 90, 60, and 30-day intervals
- Partner with stakeholders to gather readiness inputs (people, process, technology)
- Identify gaps and escalate risks to ensure successful implementation
- Reporting & Dashboards
- Build and maintain dashboards to provide visibility into program health, timelines, and key metrics
- Consolidate project updates into executive-level reporting
- Create standardized reporting frameworks and templates
- Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a central point of coordination between IT, project teams, and business stakeholders
- Facilitate status meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-through
- Communicate program updates clearly and effectively to leadership
- Project Support / Execution
- Support or lead smaller IT workstreams within larger programs
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and documentation as needed
Qualifications
- 3–4 years of experience in IT project management, program coordination, or PMO support
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Experience building dashboards and reports (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools)
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred:
- Experience with Smartsheet or similar project tracking tools
- Exposure to IT project environments (infrastructure, applications, or digital initiatives)
- Experience supporting operational readiness or go-live planning
