We're supporting our Professional Services client in search of a MuleSoft Lead Developer to take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of APIs, integrations, and reusable assets built on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform within a complex enterprise environment.

You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of APIs using API-led connectivity, ensuring high-quality engineering standards and alignment to enterprise integration governance. The role involves working across multiple systems and delivering robust integration solutions using Mule 4 and DataWeave 2.0.

You will also play a key role in technical leadership, mentoring developers, reviewing code, and contributing to engineering best practices across the team. This includes supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and maintaining strong observability across services.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Mule 4
  • Expertise in DataWeave 2.0
  • Experience with API-led connectivity and building APIs using RAML and/or OpenAPI
  • Background in enterprise integration projects (multi-system environments)
  • Experience with integration patterns (event-driven, batch, streaming, orchestration)
  • Knowledge of CloudHub (v2.0 preferred) and/or Runtime Fabric
  • CI/CD and Git version control experience
  • Experience integrating systems such as Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, AWS or Azure
  • Strong API security knowledge (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS/SSL)
  • Experience with MUnit testing and test automation
  • Ability to support production environments (incident resolution / RCA)
  • Experience mentoring or leading developers in delivery teams
  • Must be eligible for SC clearance

This role requires eligibility for SC clearance (must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years) and offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact integration programmes while shaping engineering standards and best practices.
