Position Summary
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will support the manufacture, sustainment, development, and improvement of processes used in oligonucleotide production. This role works cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support new product development and improve existing manufacturing processes within a biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the manufacture and processing of oligonucleotides.
- Support process sustainment, definition, optimization, and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in design, development, and quality testing activities related to oligonucleotide manufacturing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
- Develop manufacturing processes for new products and improve processes supporting existing products.
- Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively across departments.
Qualifications
- Experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
- Experience with chemical processes, preferably organic chemistry processes, is preferred.
- Experience with statistics, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques is a plus.
- Experience with high-volume production in a high-tech or high-volume consumables environment is a plus.
- Experience with product development processes and project management is a plus.
- Strong interdepartmental communication and documentation skills are required.
