Position Summary

A leading medical device manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to support its workforce health and safety programs on a part-time, remote basis. In this role, the specialist will oversee the full case management lifecycle for workers' compensation claims, including conducting factual investigations, reviewing and analyzing medical records, and advising on the need for additional medical information where appropriate.







Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct health evaluations, initial assessments, and provide treatment recommendations to employees as required.
  • Administer onsite health and environmental screening programs, managing referrals for clinical evaluations and interpreting, documenting, and communicating results in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance to Human Resources and Legal teams on employee work restrictions and potential accommodations related to medical conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date OSHA 300, 301, and 300A logs in compliance with OSHA recordkeeping regulations.
  • Manage end-to-end workers' compensation claims, including conducting and documenting factual investigations, analyzing medical records, and coordinating additional medical information gathering as needed.




Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health Nursing or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in occupational health required.
  • Prior experience in a telehealth environment is highly preferred.




Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including maintenance of OSHA 300, 301, and 300A logs.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation processes, medical record analysis, and regulatory compliance in an occupational health setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise cross-functional teams including HR and Legal.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
