Planner Assistant

Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite) – San Diego, CA

Duration: 2-year contract (+ potential 6-month extension)

Schedule: 8-hour shifts (start time between 6:00–7:00 AM PST)

Pay Rate:$27–32/hour

Conversion: Strong potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs


Overview

Provides administrative support to a Customer Project Management (CPM) function within a customer service-focused organization. This role sits within a Service Planning team and supports coordination of field operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and support general customer/service inquiries
  • Schedule and dispatch field crews
  • Prepare and print job/planner packets
  • Manage calendars and coordinate scheduling activities
  • Assist with permit documentation and administrative paperwork
  • Support invoice preparation and tracking
  • Provide ad hoc support to Service Coordinators to streamline field operations
  • Contribute to special projects as needed

  • Works closely with Service Coordinators and planning teams
  • Highly administrative, process-driven role

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Customer service experience
  • Administrative or coordination roles such as:

    • Administrative Assistant
    • Office Coordinator
