Senior Project Management Consultant – BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems)
Juno Beach, FL (Hybrid) | 12-Month Contract
Our client’s Engineering & Construction Business Unit is seeking a Senior Project Management Consultant to support a growing portfolio of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the U.S. and Canada.
This role is responsible for coordinating internal and external stakeholders across development, engineering, estimating, procurement, and construction functions from early-stage development through pre-construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate highly matrixed project teams to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables
- Support environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, and interconnection workstreams
- Develop and refine project scope, execution strategy, and timelines
- Optimize technical and financial project variables
- Support PPA and GIA processes
- Collaborate with engineering and estimating teams on design and cost development
- Develop and manage financial models for project approval
- Source and negotiate contracts for engineering, EPC, and supporting services
- Track project progress, risks, and key milestones across multiple projects
- Present updates and reports to internal stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure smooth transition of projects into construction phases
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in project management within energy, infrastructure, or construction
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management experience
- Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, or project economics
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with renewable energy, power markets, or BESS projects
- Understanding of project development lifecycle (early-stage to construction)
- PMP certification
- Advanced Excel skills
