A leading provider of mission-critical infrastructure and construction solutions is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support large-scale construction projects across the United States. Position Summary
The Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental health and safety (EHS) programs across active construction projects. This role ensures compliance with OSHA standards, supports field operations, conducts safety training, and drives a strong culture of workplace safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Lead and coordinate safety training programs for project personnel and subcontractors
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Support document control and safety program development initiatives
Ensure OSHA compliance across all phases of construction activities
Oversee subcontractor and contractor adherence to site-specific safety requirements
Maintain and update EHS dashboards, reports, and project safety metrics
Communicate safety expectations and best practices across project teams
Assist in developing proactive safety strategies to minimize project risk
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
5+ years of direct construction safety experience required
Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical construction projects strongly preferred
General Contractor experience preferred
OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500 certifications preferred
CHST and/or CSP certifications strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence field teams and subcontractors
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Experience tracking and reporting EHS metrics and compliance data
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, climb, crouch, kneel, and work in active construction environments
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds when necessary
