Role: Senior Data Business Analyst

Rate: $900 per day

· We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale data warehousing and analytics transformation within a leading Australian financial services organisation. This role will focus on requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and translating complex business needs into robust data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, and reporting teams to support solution design and delivery
· Support validation and testing activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity
· Lead end-to-end requirements gathering across business and technology stakeholders
· Translate business problems into clear data and reporting requirements, ensuring alignment across data sources, models, and outputs
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst within financial services.
· Strong experience working with data platforms and large-scale data warehousing programs.
· Strong SQL proficiency with dbt cloud in Snowflake.
· Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data layers (staging, integration, semantic, and reporting) and ETL/ELT processes.
· Experience working with reporting and visualisation teams to define KPIs, metrics, and dimensional models (exposure to tools such as Tableau is advantageous).
· Demonstrated ability to use data exploration and proof-of-concept techniques to validate solutions and inform design decisions.
