Senior Buyer/Planner | Life Sciences / CDMO
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Full-Time | On-Site | $100-120K annual salary
I'm partnering with an established pharmaceutical services organization supporting GMP drug product manufacturing and client programs to identify a Senior Buyer/Planner for their growing operations. This is an opportunity to join a cross-functional supply chain team, overseeing procurement, material planning, supplier relationships, and inventory management to ensure manufacturing operations remain well-supported and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement and material planning for raw materials, components, packaging, and manufacturing supplies.
- Develop demand forecasts and purchasing plans aligned with production schedules and client requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships, purchasing agreements, pricing negotiations, and vendor performance.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and Project Management teams to address material and supply chain risks.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, material flow, expiration tracking, and warehouse coordination.
- Support vendor qualification, incoming material requirements, and GMP compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or manufacturing support within the life sciences industry.
- Experience in a CDMO or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with GMP requirements; aseptic manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, and supplier relations.
- Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills.
