We are seeking a Supplier Warranty Program Specialist to support the technical management and continuous improvement of a Supplier Warranty Partnership Program. This role will serve as a key connection between warranty data analysis, parts returns, supplier quality engineering, and the supplier network.
The position will focus on analyzing warranty data, identifying supplier-related trends and issues, supporting corrective actions, and driving improvements that reduce warranty costs and improve overall product quality.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical execution and continuous improvement of the Supplier Warranty Partnership Program.
- Partner with Supplier Quality teams to develop, retrieve, and analyze field data to identify opportunities to improve product quality and reduce warranty costs.
- Drive continuous improvement through supplier corrective action processes, including warranty-related corrective action requests.
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to establish data requirements and improve the speed and accuracy of addressing supplier warranty concerns.
- Develop and track Supplier Warranty KPIs across vehicle and product programs while driving organizational awareness of performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and technical deep dives into vehicle issues, warranty trends, and service center operations.
- Maintain accurate warranty evidence, supplier agreement data, claims information, and performance metrics.
- Generate recurring reports and dashboards using analytics tools such as Hex, Databricks, and other data platforms.
- Analyze supplier warranty data to identify trends, root causes, improvement opportunities, and areas for optimization.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect relevant data and maintain alignment with program objectives.
- Communicate with suppliers to gather required information, resolve discrepancies, and address warranty-related issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technicians, engineers, customer service teams, and other stakeholders to improve warranty data quality and support program objectives.
- Manage multiple projects and initiatives across different teams and geographic locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience working with automotive supplier warranty data and statistical analysis.
- Strong statistical analysis, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Hex and Databricks.
- Familiarity with JIRA and other software/data management tools.
- Knowledge of AIAG, VDA, APQP, and related automotive quality methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience driving quality improvements and improving overall vehicle or product performance.
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and quality organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a highly cross-functional environment.
