Our client is a leading global medical device company with manufacturing operations in Utah and a global headquarters in Southern California. They are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive high-volume university and early career recruiting across both sites, with a particular focus on engineering internships, co-ops, and campus partnership programs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for Engineering intern requisitions across Draper, UT and Irvine, CA sites
- Own Co-Op program recruitment and ongoing program management
- Coordinate campus interview scheduling in partnership with technical interviewers
- Manage relationships with five U.S. target universities
- Plan and execute Fall recruitment events including career fairs, tech talks, hackathons, and diversity events for Utah and Irvine target schools
- Coordinate training for campus ambassadors and interviewers for the Fall 2026 cycle
- Provide onsite support at the SHPE Conference in October 2026
- Support the launch and ongoing coordination of a new rotational development program in Draper
- Provide University Relations operational support including logistics, onboarding coordination, and materials management
- Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay current on hiring needs and business priorities
- Source qualified candidates using databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, and employee referrals
- Screen applicants to evaluate work history, training, education, and job skills
- Prepare and maintain employment records
- Contact applicants to communicate employment possibilities, status, and selection outcomes
- Inform prospective candidates about facilities, operations, benefits, and career opportunities
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent field required
- 2–4 years of HR or recruitment experience required
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in university recruiting or high-volume requisition management
- Strong event planning and operational coordination skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to partner effectively across diverse stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Working knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices
- Familiarity with principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, and training
- Basic understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
