Tax Analyst - Level 2

Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in Office, training period fully onsite)
Duration:
12-Month Contract
Pay Rate:$29.50 – $34.50 per hour
Position Overview
This role supports moderately complex projects related to maintaining tax records and preparing various tax filings. Responsibilities include corporate income tax returns, partnership returns, consolidated filings, and associated financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, including schedules, extensions, and estimated payments in accordance with the tax filing calendar
- Conduct financial and economic analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Interpret financial reports and tax return data
- Respond to and research inquiries from government agencies related to compliance and filings
- Prepare tax calculations for tax controversy and audit support
- Develop tax assumptions within financial and project models
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in tax compliance and tax research
