Our client is seeking a Technical Services Specialist to serve as a technical leader for their AVEVA PI System environment. This role is responsible for the development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of ProcessBook, PI tags, graphics, interfaces, and supporting hardware infrastructure, applying advanced technical expertise to plan, execute, and coordinate complex projects with significant business impact.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the technical services department. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary subject matter expert and technical liaison for PI-related systems
- Leading cross-functional initiatives and defining project scope
- Investigating complex technical issues and developing innovative solutions
- Ensuring compliance with corporate, regulatory, and industry standards
- Providing strategic direction and mentoring technical personnel
- Supporting major company programs involving data collection, visualization, system integration, and digital monitoring technologies
Essential Job Duties and Job Functions:
- Develop and troubleshoot PI tags and graphics within ProcessBook
- Exercise independent judgment in the interpretation, modification, and implementation of technical solutions
- Maintain and improve the AVEVA PI System environment, including PI Data Archive and Asset Framework (AF)
- Manage interfaces and data integrations across supporting hardware infrastructure
- Operate under limited guidance while handling complex, high-impact technical work
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise with AVEVA PI System software, ProcessBook, PI Data Archive, Asset Framework (AF), interfaces, data integrations, and supporting hardware
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills applied to complex technical systems
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives with independent judgment
- Strong mentorship and communication skills to support technical personnel
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Approximately 5 years of experience with PI Systems
